Our friend Lisa stayed at TreeTops for a week in May 2002 and kept a journal of her
daily adventures. Here's a short excerpt:"Arrived at TreeTops around 6:30 PM. LOVELY!! We were weary travelers, so after unpacking, we went for dinner at Angelo & Son's on Ochlockonee Bay at the bridge. I quenched my thirst with a Panacea Painkiller: 2 shots Jamaican Rum, Crème de Banana, Coco Lopez, OJ and Pineapple juice. We had fried alligator tail for an appetizer, and yes, it really does taste 'just like chicken'. For dinner, Case and I both had the shrimp/grouper combo, complete with hushpuppies and all, y'all! Delicious! Oh yeah, the sunset from the patio on the deck where we ate wasn't too hard to take either. Whoever said 'the best things in life are free' got that one just right." "What my husband and I enjoyed most about TreeTops was the variety of
activities. When we were visiting it rained 4 out of the 7 days, but we still had a great time!
After the rain we took the bikes out to the nearby nature trails and had a blast getting all
dirty. Somedays we stayed in and read the many books in the library. Somehow during
the rain we hung out on the porch watching the sunset! When it was sunny we went on long walks on
